Of the 24 suspects arrested within the scope of the “Operation Blue Butterfly” organized in the district of Manavgat in Antalya last May, 19 of them were sentenced to between 5 and 15 years in prison. The trial of 5 defendants continues.
According to the news in the UAV, the Provincial Gendarmerie Command KOM Branch Directorate and the Manavgat District Gendarmerie Command teams operated on May 11, 2020. Within the scope of the operation, members of a drug gang of 24 people, 2 of whom are women, led by Muharrem M, known as ‘Ferman’, who is a local newspaper and radio owner and also a reporter for a national newspaper, were caught in Manavgat. The suspects caught were arrested and sent to prison by the court they were taken to.
It was reported that 19 defendants were sentenced to 5 to 15 years of imprisonment, while 5 defendants continued to be tried in the trials held at the 1st and 2nd High Criminal Courts of Manavgat.
